Waverly Drive over Cox Creek Bridge Replacement

The City of Millersburg plans to replace the existing Waverly Drive over Cox Creek bridge that acts as a sole access into Talking Waters Garden, the Simpson Park parking lot, and other important areas. The existing bridge is structurally deficient and is currently load restricted and reduced to a single travel lane. The replacement bridge will provide safe access for vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians across Cox Creek, meeting all current bridge design standards. The new bridge will utilize a single span to improve the hydraulic conditions of the bridge crossing.

The project is currently in the design phase with construction estimated to begin early summer of 2026. Traffic will remain open throughout construction. Construction is estimated to be completed in winter of 2026.  See the flyer below for more information.
